Local Update of Census Addresses (LUCA) LUCA is the only opportunity offered to tribal, state and local governments to review and comment on the U.S. Census Bureau's residential address list for their jurisdiction prior to the 2020 Census.

To search for an address in an individual census year, choose the 'A-Z of Record Sets' drop down from the 'Search records' menus. LUCA is the only opportunity offered to state, local, and tribal governments to review and comment on the U.S. Census Bureau's residential address list prior to the 2020 Census. Census data tells us who we are as a community, and census data is collected based on the address list that local governments are asked to verify. The 2020 Census will count juveniles staying in non-correctional residential treatment centers on Census Day at their usual home address, or at the facility if they have no usual home address.
