DOHC Mivec conversion for 4G9X. Ideal conversion for 4G93 (1.8) or even on a 4G94 (2.0). Nov 25, 2009 · You really need at least 60 PSI for the mivec to work and only about 10psi drop (or less) when mivec engages. If the Oil pressure drops a lot whem the mivec engages its probably due to mechanical failure in the head. Check for lose/broken camshaft caps or worn camshaft tray. Low oil pressure is usually simply due to engine wear. Sep 25, 2012 · On the outside, the V6 looks just like every other diesel-powered Montero Sport variant except for a small MIVEC V6 sticker on lower right of the backlight (proper term for rear windshield or back ... wouldnt it be better to use the 4g94 entirely (just say if everything fits well) and get more power and torque from there? instead of destroking the motor and revving high just to achieve the same power? another way is to maintain the 4g92 mivec and use better aftermarket parts so u can rev higher which i think its the way to go. just my 2 cents. how are you? yaar dont go for carb it will never be smooth as a fuel injection and dont go for 4G93 i wud suggest go for 4G15 DOHC and install a turbo in it and ur good for anything but dont boost more then 7psi. ur stock internals on 4G15 will take 7psi and give u the ride of ur life if ur ok with 140BHP.....with carb u wud never b happy and it wud be heavy on fuel...

I already have forged pistons and rods for the 4G63 but am considering going to 4G64.
